Student Summer Work Opportunity: Research Assistant, Practicum, or Internship

The New York Research and Disability Research Center (NYRDRC) invites you to be part of groundbreaking research aimed at improving the lives of people left behind by current Social Security policy.

Details

·      Duration: June and July 2024 (required); some jobs could continue.

·      Location: Mostly remote; in-person attendance of special summer seminar once a week at Hunter Silberman or Baruch (tentatively: Tuesdays 3-5PM).

·      Benefits: Education and mentoring to enhance your research skills; meets PH practicum requirements; can be tailored to meet other internship requirements.

·      Pay: Stipends available.

·      Satisfies Hunter’s Public Health Practicum and other CUNY internship requirements.

 

Responsibilities

As a Research Assistant, you will:

·      Assist in groundbreaking research projects.

·      Work with data (quantitative and/or qualitative) and contribute to reports.

·      Collaborate with esteemed professionals in the field.

·      Attend a special summer seminar on Social Security, retirement, and the health and economic well-being of older adults and people with disabilities taught by senior faculty from across the CUNY campuses.

 

Qualifications

·      Undergraduate and Masters students with an interest in the well-being and health of populations.

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·      Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
